Background of Grocery Outlet in Mammoth Lakes
On June 14th, 2017 the Planning Commission in Mammoth Lakes heard and decided on an agenda item to approve a new Grocery Outlet store to be built in Mammoth Lakes.
Grocery Outlet was represented by several members of Best Development, including their architect, senior planner, store developer and principals. The agenda item was approved by the Planning Commission by way of a 4-0 vote.
The new store is to be built on 1.3 acres of land located at 37 & 77 Old Mammoth Road, between the Shell gas station and Century 21. This new project represents one of the first development projects in more than a decade and is expected to bring significant relief to consumers looking for an alternative to Vons as their primary grocery store in town.
Grocery Outlet opened January 24th, 2019.
