Tesla in Mammoth Lakes?
While the Eastern Sierra Nevada region of California has been one of the more remote and inaccessible areas for Tesla drivers, this is soon to become a thing of the past. Over the past 2 years, Tesla chargers have been installed in remote areas such as Mojave, Inyokern and even Lone Pine, California. As a Mammoth Lakes resident with friends and clients owning a Tesla, this is a great bridge to the driving gap. The opening of this supercharging station closes the gap between Reno, Nevada and Los Angeles. The site number for the Mammoth Lakes charging station is site #591.
Mammoth Lakes is next on the list to receive a supercharging station. This new station will be located at 1475 Tavern Road, on corner of Old Mammoth Road and Tavern Road. There will be a total of 8 stations within close walking distance to shopping, restaurants and a free trolley. Rite Aid, Do-It Center, Good Life Cafe, Nick and Willies Pizza and many others are all within 1 block.
The Village at Mammoth is reported to have private charging stations in the underground parking area of the lodging structure. A super charging station in this area would be an added convenience as there are ample activities, shopping, a gondola, and many other things to do while your Tesla gets a boost.
