Bowling in Mammoth Lakes!
Mammoth Lakes is best know for its skiing, camping, hiking, snowboarding, scenery and just about everything fun there is to do in the outdoors, but lets face it… every now and again people just wan’t something to do indoors with family and friends. Mammoth Rock N Bowl has provided a new group friendly opportunity and a means to escape those stormy days as well as an opportunity to engage in a new social environment.
Mammoth Rock n Bowl is more than just a 12-lane bowling alley, it also offers two bars, a restaurant with 180 degree views of the Sherwin Mountains, a pro-shop and a private meeting room. If you are looking to get some warm up golf in before you head to Sierra Star Golf Course of Snowcreek Golf Course, try out one of their three new indoor golf simulators. If there is one word that I would use to describe this new facility it is “Quality”… this place was done right and its a lot of fun.
If you are family having brought kids to Mammoth Lakes, you may have experienced one of those days where the parents want to relax and eat, but the kids are bored because the adult and children environments haven’t meshed well. Mammoth Rock N Bowl is a good solution to this problem. Kids can bowl, play darts, ping pong or break windows with golf balls on the golf simulator while the adults enjoy dinner and drinks… all in a safe environment.
Since Mammoth Rock N Bowl’s completion, Old Mammoth Road has been realizing a revitalization spurt in real estate uses. The Mammoth Tavern, a new gastro-pub, has opened across the street from Mammoth Rock N Bowl and provides a great pre, or post bowling, dining experience. Tonik clothing also moved its location from the Village at Mammoth to Old Mammoth and is only 1 block north of Mammoth Rock N Bowl. Several other businesses are slowly moving into the district and enhancing the overall experience of Old Mammoth.
If you are looking for directions to Mammoth Rock N Bowl, drive or take the trolley south on Old Mammoth Road until you reach Chateau Road. Head east on Chateau Road 1 block and you can’t miss it.
Matthew Lehman listed the land where Mammoth Rock N Bowl was built and has assisted Tonik and other commercial businesses in their transition into the district.
