Mammoth Fireside at the Village is one of the oldest condominium complexes in Mammoth Lakes and one of the few complexes people think of when considering a condominium purchase in Mammoth Lakes. One of the reasons people rarely think of this this complex is because condominium units are rarely available for purchase.
Until recently, Fireside at the Village used to be called “Mammoth Fireside”, but the owners wanted to incorporate the term “Village” in its name since it was now part of the North Village Specific Plan.
Fireside at the Village is somewhat of a unique complex for a couple of reasons:
Its situated in a great location adjacent to the Village at Mammoth
Its adjacent to the Village at Ski Gondola
And there are numerous restaurants within a very short walk
Mammoth Fireside at the Village is also a low density project consisting of only 32 condominium units. There are one bedroom/one bath units at the ground level and three story units with two bedrooms and lofts located on floors 2-4.
Mammoth Fireside at the Village is also one of a very few condominium complexes with an indoor pool, spa, and sauna area; this indoor pool amenity is very popular among families with kids and those not wanting to brave the winter storms.
The new underground parking is particularly popular with owners and visitors to the complex. This parking was created when the “8050” project was built just to the north of the complex. Mammoth Fireside sold their 1-acre of open parking to 8050 for $1.00, in exchange for a lifetime of covered parking, a building remodel and maintenance of the parking structure. Since the exchange, all of the buildings have been resided, re-roofed and upgraded with new windows. Although Fireside at the Village has a private easement and full use of the parking structure in perpetuity, the 8050 project is responsible for all maintenance and heating of the parking structure. Additionally, the area above the parking structure is slated for the completion of a final 8050 building (building “C”). This final building may be a fractional product like 8050, but could also be a hotel… proposed to be the “Inn at the Village”.
Although located within great proximity to all of the Village amenities, Fireside at the Village does not experience the noise emanating from the ground level restaurants or music events taking place during the summer. When you think of living near the Village, don’t forget Fireside at the Village.
