The median price for a single-family home in Mammoth Lakes, as of August 1st, 2019 was $773,125; based off a total of 52 sale. Single family homes appear to be adjusting for a variety of reasons including the fewer new home sale vs. last year. Additionally, condominiums are more attractive due to their transient rental capabilities. While home prices are currently down, but so are interest rates making a long-term home purchase more attractive than previous months.

Year-to-date 2019, the condominium market is still performing well, and relatively flat in comparison last month’s figures. This median sales price is 12.5% above the median price observed through 2018. Condominiums remain attractive due to their ease of management from afar and ability to rent on a transient basis.
