How are the conditions in Mammoth?
Snow Conditions – After working in the later morning, I decided that today was a great day to take a few hours off and enjoy the snow that Mammoth Mountain had to offer. While the snow conditions are good, I have to admit that the snow is getting a little bit thin in some place and Mammoth Mountain is looking a lot like “spring conditions”.
This said Mammoth Lakes is about to receive one of the largest storms seen in several years. This week’s storm will be hitting just in time for weekend warriors and second home owners to get into town and experience what will likely be the best powder in the 2013 and 2014 season. I had to cancel a scheduled “Open House” this weekend in preparation for the storm. Several feet are expected to fall over Friday and Saturday, leaving Sunday as one of those ideal bluebird powder days.
Not only is the snow great for skiing and snowboarding, but it will provide much needed water to Mammoth Lakes and Southern California.
Market Conditions – Here are pricing statistics for Single Family Homes and Condominiums from February 2014 and the 6 month period prior:
Compared to last month, condominiums are trending up 3.6% and homes are trending up nearly 5% for Mammoth Lakes.
