Mammoth Rocks Taste of the Sierra is one of Mammoth Lake’s signature music and food events and this year will be hosting a motorcycle rally. For 2016 the event will be held August 26th and 27th and will mark the 8th annual tribute to classic rock music from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Here is a little Recap Video.
You don’t want to miss this energizing event. During the inaugural year, the Village at Mammoth was packed with family fans ranging from 5 – 85 years of age, listening to tributes perform everything from Neil Diamond to Boston. The second year was held on Canyon Blvd and a un-seasonal storm delivered snow in mid-August, but this didn’t deter fan from finishing the weekend off with a classic headliner performing Rolling Stones classics.

Hollywood U2: Hollywood U2 is the most authentic tribute to U2. Bono Approved, lead singer Joe Hier sang live on stage with Bono and U2 on their recent i.e 
Tour. They have performed in front of millions, for Mark Cuban and Ryan Seacrest’s network television show on AXS.tv “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” and made history on the show by being the first band ever to be invited back for a second extended live TV performance. Bono himself said that Joe Hier was the split of him, and that he had a beautiful voice. A tribute band cannot receive higher praise then that of the band it pays tribute to.
In the Led: Premium veteran musicianship, proven track records, attention to detail, and magical improvisational performance traits are just a few of the elements that In The Led draw upon to deliver a solid and entertaining Led Zeppelin concert experience. Cash’d Out: Over the past couple of decades, tribute bands have become big business in the world of concert promotion. And, not surprisingly, the more popular ones are the acts that are most authentic. Such is the case with Cash’d Out (Douglas Benson vocals, Kevin Manuel guitar, George Bernardo drums, and Stephen Rey bass), a San Diego based band, that channels Johnny Cash in about as close a manner to the real thing as it gets.
Jeffrey James: Jeffrey James is an incredible original songwriter, singer, guitarist and performer. He covers all the bases with his heart-thumping, toe-tapping Americana. 
His amazing, unique sound rocks the crowd and brings them to their feet to dance or tears to their eyes with his heartfelt ballads of love and conviction. effrey has paid his dues on the music scene, having co-headlined and opened with some of our country’s big music names from the glam rock days of the late 80s, Guns and Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane’s Addiction with the band, CATHOUSE. Later as his career progressed, he toured and played in opening acts for Dwight Yoakam, Merle Haggard, Chris LeDoux, Neal McCoy, Shania Twain and Clint Black and most recently, Uncle Kracker.
